The Mentoring Partnership of Miami County is dedicated to the next generation.
Our mission is to empower the community to mentor youth in partnership with existing organizations - creating a collective ripple effect of positive change.
We exist to see every youth with an uplifting mentor.
Our Story, Solution, and Strategy
Story.
Co-founder Bruce was sitting in church one day, looked around, and saw all the potential to care for kids from hard places. So many caring adults are available and so many kids need their presence and attention. Bruce asked Paul if they could chat about this
For the past couple of years Paul had been meeting with leaders of organizations who care for kids and asked what they need. The answer was always "more healthy adults to care for these kids."
A team (board) was assembled, partners were gathered to ask if this was true, and initial funding was raised to hire a founding Executive Director.
Solution.
If the problem is there are not enough healthy adults to care for kids from hard places, then the solution is to recruit them into a relationship with a child, at a consistent rhythm, and into a role within an existing partnered organization.

Strategy
Everyday, thousands of future adults in Miami County are lacking relationships that would transform the trajectory of their lives and their families lives.
Everyday, thousands of current adults in Miami County are lacking greater meaning and purpose. They are looking to transform someone else's life and in turn be transformed themselves.
Everyday, hundreds of daycare workers, teachers, after-school program staff, and mentors are striving to care and heal the future adults of Miami County.
We have a problem. But, we don't have a resource problem - We Have a Connection Problem.
Our Strategy is one of Collaborative Collective Connection. Collective Impact.
We are not a mentoring program. We partner with front line changemakers sourcing them more mentors and volunteers to care for more kids better.
We can't do this without you and your connections.
We need mentors, recruiters, sponsors, and funders to transform the future of a county, one relationship at a time.
